WELCOME TO ALL

St. Teilo's is a lively church, liberal high Anglican in ecclesiology and liturgy, which prides itself on its inclusivity. All, all, all are welcome regardless of race, nationality, gender, sexuality, or disability. The Church is listed by Changing Attitude as an inclusive Church, by Inclusive Church, and by the Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement - South Wales as "gay friendly".

CHORAL EVENSONG - SUNDAY 9TH JULY

At 7pm on Sunday 9th July in St. Teilo’s is the last service of Sung Evensong for this term, followed by a barbecue in the beautiful revamped garden. Veggie and vegan options available. All welcome. This is for the whole Parish to come together and enjoy good music, good food and drink, and each other’s company.

Please note: there will be no Café in August.

SUNDAY ON MONDAY

The last "Sunday on Monday" of this term is on Monday 10th of July. It will restart in September. Many, many thanks to the dedicated team of volunteers who give up their time throughout the school year for this very important aspect of outreach to our youngest people. Without you, it simply wouldn’t happen!

20TH ANNIVERSARY OF ST. MICHAEL'S

Sunday 16th July is a very important date for your diaries as at 6pm in St. Michael’s there will be a wonderful service to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our new church building, to be followed by a buffet. Everyone is very welcome to join the celebrations.

COMING EVENTS

  • Sunday, July 9th: Evensong in St. Teilo’s at 7pm followed by BBQ in the beautiful revamped gardens. Volunteers needed for BBQ cooking duties!
  • Sunday, July 10th: 20th Anniversary service at 6pm in St. Michael’s, followed by a buffet supper. Please support this event - it will be wonderful!

CONFIRMATION

The annual Parish service of Confirmation has been postponed to a date to be announced, which will be after the consecration of the new Bishop of Llandaff, June Osborne, currently Dean of Salisbury Cathedral.

THE CHOIR

The choir meets on Wednesdays in St.Teilo's at 7.45 pm, and on Sundays at 10.30 am before the morning service. New members are welcome in all voice parts. It is a young(ish) and very friendly choir directed by Alex Thacker, a recent graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and Associate Conductor of the Llandaff Cathedral Choral Society.

THE PARISH OF CATHAYS

St. Teilo's and St. Michael's are the two churches which together comprise the Parish of Cathays. Further information about the Parish and the two churches can be found on the Parish website.

MUTIN CAVAILLÉ-COLL 'ORGUE DE CHOEUR

More pictures of the Mutin Cavaillé-Coll 'Orgue de Choeur' (1902) have been posted here. They show the organ as it was at St. David's Pontycymmer, before being moved to St. Teilo's where it awaits restoration.
