IMPORTANT NOTICE

Since 1st January 2020 St. Teilo's Church has been closed for renovation and preparation to host a Diocesan Resource Church which is to be established there later in 2020.

In the meantime, the St. Teilo congregation is worshipping at 11.15am each Sunday at St. Michael's Church, Whitchurch Road, St. Teilo's sister church in the Parish of Cathays.

In consequence the St. Teilo website is being incorporated into a new parish website which is in the process of development. When the new website opens visitors to this site will automatically be redirected to the new Parish site.

WELCOME  CROESO

All, all, all are invited to join St. Teilo's congregation in their worship at the Church of St. Michael's and All Angels in Whitchurch Road, Cardiff.
We are inclusive.
We believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is GOOD NEWS for every generation and every person, regardless of their age, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

Water! An ordinary, everyday familiar thing, usually taken for granted and unnoticed - except when found absent and needed. This the Lord used as an instrument to manifest his glory. God often uses very ordinary things and lets his glory shine through them.

CORONAVIRUS

A reminder that, owing to current public health concerns in respect of the coronavirus, new advice from the Church of Wales is that the congregation receive only the bread, and that the exchange of the Peace should be ‘non-physical’. Watch public announcements and this website for further information regarding church services as the epidemic develops over the coming weeks.

PARISH EVENTS SPRING TERM 2020

A full programme of events is planned for the Parish between now and Easter, click here for details.

CHRISTIAN MINDFULNESS AND MEDITATION

Starting on Wednesday March 4th in St. Michael's Church at 7.30pm, Caroline will lead 5 weekly 1 hour sessions of Christian Meditation and Mindfulness:

"We are probably all aware of the stresses and strains of modern life and many are seeking some respite from this and looking for a space for peace and freedom from stress. Christian meditation and mindfulness is a spiritual practice. By stilling the mind, we become open to the creator spirit of God that fills the whole universe."

The ultimate aim of these sessions is to be still together in a state of presence and then to practise these skills regularly in our everyday lives. The sessions are open to all and people can choose to attend as many sessions as they wish. The next sessions are on Monday 16th March at 7.00pm and on Wednesday 17th March at 7.30pm. Click here for further details.

YEAR OF PILGRIMAGE

On Saturday 20th June, as part of the Year of Pilgrimage, we are invited to join Roath Parish on a coach trip to Tewkesbury Abbey - more details available soon! Arrival at the Abbey at 11am and the day will end with an optional Evensong in the Abbey at 5.30pm before returning home. At the end of that day we will be handed the pilgrimage staff, shell, teddy, whistle and rucksack for our parish for a week.

On Saturday 11th July there will be a walking pilgrimage around some of the churches in Cardiff, which we are invited to join - and they may be calling at St. Michael’s! The day will end at a cathedral ‘Family Fun’ event. People can join any or all of this!
